Data and Updates
Here we will update every feature and data point of the website so you can keep track of what we're doing, what we're up to and what to expect in the future.
FindTrail.co is an endurance fuel discovery tool, a trail ultra-marathon race finder tool and a long-distance route finder (coming soon).
My name is Martin and I am behind Kelp and Fern, a nature and trail running documentary filmmaker.
I was tired of using multiple race finding websites that were built for race directors, not runners, so i've used my background in data-science to make tools that trail runners, ultra-marathoners and endurance adventurers can use to find fuel, races and routes.
If you have a request for a feature, a data point, a specific fuel product, race or route, you can request them at Ko-Fi.
You can also join the community on Discord to talk about trail running fuelling and races..
Ultra-Marathon Race Finder
Home to the world's most data-driven ultra-marathon race finder tool, allowing you to find races with your exact requirements. Each race gets over 80 data points for you to filter, sort and search through.
We only include ultra-distance races of 45 km or further, with a focus on ultra-trail races.
Race Search Tools
- BASIC RACE FINDER
- Use filters to find races by distance, date, region, elevation and more.
- Ideal for quickly narrowing down options.
- ADVANCED RACE FINDER
- Show/hide columns, sort any data point, filter by multiple variables.
- For when you want to really dig into the data.
- COMPARE TOOL
- Choose up to 4 races to compare side-by-side.
- Compare by elevation/km, entry fees, DNF rates, checkpoints, difficulty and more.
Race Country Packs
How does this work?
We release a country pack at a time, launching the site first with every ultra-marathon race in Wales. From there, we triple-check the data manually for the next region/country before releasing.
Donations help make this possible.
- Ultra marathon races in Wales – DONE
- Ultra marathon races in Scotland – IN PROGRESS
- Ultra marathon races in England – COMING NEXT

Future Goals & Next Countries
We're working on the Scotland pack now, which will include every known ultra-marathon trail race in the country.
Next will be England, followed by Ireland and France.
Each country takes approx. 3–4 weeks to complete. Donations help speed this up. If you want to support, you can do so on Ko-Fi.
This page will be regularly updated with all features, metrics and milestones.
